Abstract

The present study aimed to examine the relationship between psychological resources and health promoting behaviours among elderly individuals. A correlational research design was employed. The study comprised 300 elderly individuals aged 60 years and above residing in urban areas of Punjab, India. Participants selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria, and individuals with chronic diseases were excluded. Data collected using standardized questionnaires assessing health promoting behaviours, and psychological resources (self-efficacy, optimism, and sense of coherence). Correlation and stepwise multiple regression analyses employed to examine the relationships and predictive contributions of the selected variables.
