Abstract

The use of electronic gadgets such as cell phones, tablets, computers, and gamers has become an inseparable part of the adolescents’ daily lives. These devices tend to help them with their studies, social life, entertainment, and other purposes. However, the use of such gadgets is associated with adverse mental health outcomes, including anxiety, depressive symptoms, stress, sleep disorders, and a lack of emotional stability. This paper will provide a literature review on gadget usage and mental health among school-going adolescents, discussing the necessity of conducting further studies on this topic.
